This Saturday, April 9, 2022 will be the 50th Anniversary of the Dobson Museum in Miami, OK. The Open House will be from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Our museum houses the collections of the Ottawa County Historical Society that covers all communities of Ottawa County to preserve our art, history, culture, etc.

The museum opened 50 years ago on April 9th with hundreds of visitors on that first day!

Come enjoy music by Twin Rivers String Band on the porch of the Dobson Home and the home will be open for viewing to tour.

Come enjoy the museum and look at our latest displays along with our current traveling exhibit "Smoke Over Oklahoma: The Railroads Photographs of Preston George" on display through Friday, May 27th!

We will also have a table to join the OCHS or volunteer.

Debbie East and Bobby Poole will also have books available of their most recent project with Ron Enderland of "The Gateway to Miami, Oklahoma: Forever in Our Hearts" available for purchase.

The Dobson Museum Gift Shop also has great gift ideas and books and materials relating to Ottawa County!

There will be a come and go reception at the museum!
